The Brief

A compact 1,200 sq ft apartment in Santacruz West. The brief called for a clean, contemporary home for a small household that wanted something genuinely considered — but above all, easy to maintain and uncluttered in daily use.

The Intervention

Furniture was made to order and lifted off the ground so the plan reads light and the floor runs continuous underneath. Glossy finishes and walnut veneer give the compact rooms a sense of depth they would not otherwise have. Storage was built in everywhere it could be, quietly, so surfaces stay clear. A crystal chandelier anchors the dining area — the one deliberate moment of glamour in an otherwise disciplined scheme.

The Palette

Gloss laminate and walnut veneer, engineered stone surfaces, mirror and glass to extend sightlines, and warm LED lighting layered for evening. Built-in storage in every room, faced to disappear into the walls.
